A composable commerce architecture is a retail platform assembled from independently deployable, API-connected layers rather than one monolithic suite. For an omnichannel retailer that means experience, commerce, systems of record, and data, joined by an orchestration layer.
Above it sits AI-augmented operations: language models connected to live business systems through structured tool interfaces, so the team can ask production data a question in plain language instead of waiting for someone who can write the query.
